The Inducore Group, headquartered in Västerås, has taken over the operations of David Sjölanders Mekaniska AB on October 14, 2024. The entire operations, including personnel, will be included in the new company. Sjölanders Mekaniska is primarily specialized in machining, welding, sheet metal processing and assembly of large, complex welded and processed sheet metal structures.
"It is gratifying to welcome Sjölanders Mekaniska to the group, where the acquisition is in line with our long-term strategy - to strengthen our customer offering within the Components business area. We see great potential in being able to further develop the operations in Västerås by realizing collaboration with our other business operations at the same time as we invest to develop the business to both existing and new customers in the long term," says Magnus Biesse, CEO of Inducore.
"This feels very good. Inducore as an industrial group has a strong financial position and solid industrial expertise with experience in various industrial segments. I am convinced that the company has found the right strategic owner with the ability to develop Sjölanders further, where we become part of a larger industrial group," says the company's CEO Robert Sumberesi.
